Authors

The authors are economists and professors at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Each is part of the Creative Destruction Lab: a pre-seed stage start-up program with a heavy emphasis on machine learning.

Ajay Agrawal

Ajay has a PhD from the University of British Columbia and is the Munk Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Rotman School of Management. He is the founder of the Creative Destruction Lab and Next Canada.

Joshua Gans

Joshua has a PhD from Stanford and is Professor of Strategic Management and holds the Jeffrey S. Skoll Chair in Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Rotman School of Management. He is the author of numerous books including The Disruption Dilemma, Innovation + Equality, The Pandemic Information Gap and Parentonomics.

Avi Goldfarb

Avi has a PhD from Northwestern and is the Ellison Professor of Marketing at the Rotman School of Management. He is the author of numerous papers investigating digitisation in economics.
